Not ready yet…

I bougt this with high hope but unfortunately i had so sent it back. It has the same processor as the pro version so i thought this would handle a single input hdmi smoothly without any problem, but that’s not the case. After an hour of stream, the screen starts to freeze and when the problem starts, it keeps getting worse. When it freezes, you can’t longer control the device so you have to restart it and the reboot will take longer than usual. There is also some software glitches, sometime it looses the internet connection true the ethernet adapter and thinks it doesn’t have internet connection even when it has. In this case, it stops the streaming and when you try to start a new stream, it says “you can not start new stream when you allready have one” so it keeps streaming even if it shows the opposite, when i check youtube, i can see it still streams. After you start the device, you should not plug any cable to it because it get confused and the device start to freeze again. The color on the screen and stream also look awfull, the color is so flat that is almost look like a Log Profile. I have contacted Yololiv about it, they agreed and say there is nothing they can do about it. There is also problem with the audio feed true Hdmi port, there is a delay between the video and audio coming directly from the camera, and there is no adjustment to correct that. I also contacted Yololiv about this issue and they told they will fix it with a upgrade in the future, have still not heard anything yet. It ruined my 2 payed livestream session, i was so angry that i almost wanted to smash it to the ground. Forget about using the second usb input for second camera, it can’t even handle one, also forget about switching to footage from your Sd card under the livestream, it doesn’t have enough CPU to do all these tasks. I don`t even mention about the connection issues while streaming or where it don’t want to start streaming. Soo, this is a livestream device that can’t do a simple livestream. It is a high risk to use it for payed sessions. I also tried the Yolobox pro version but unfortunately it had the same color issues. The first version doesn’t have this color issue, so i don’t no were the things went wrong.

Good streaming starter device

This is a great product for the live stream beginner (me when I bought it). But…Pluses.Affordable. For simple one camera streaming this replaces a computer, video capture card, and streaming software.Portable. Easier for field ops than a computer.Overlays. Add graphics and text to your HDMI feed.The device manufacturer frequently rolls out new software features.The hardware is reliable.Minuses.Glitchy software. Streams break and the device sometimes locks up requiring a restart.The device itself cannot be expanded to grow as you do (as you can do with the computer).The mini doesn’t get the update attention of the more expensive pro. If I could turn back the clock, I would get the pro, even as a beginner.The USB input has limited use.Bottom line: if your live stream is a show with live chat engagement and things that appear on the screen, then go with a computer based set up. If you need portability and one hdmi input is enough, then use the mini. If multiple camera inputs over HDMI then use the pro.

Muy mala impresión de la Yolobox Mini. Hicimos la última actualización, según sea necesario. Muy lento, falla demasiado, incluso en las cosas más básicas. Nos intrigó el rendimiento tan bajo de este modelo, sabiendo que tiene el mismo procesador que el Pro. Lo enviamos [devolvimos] en menos de una hora, comparando su rendimiento con el Yolobox Pro, que tenemos desde 2022. Compra no recomendada: Pro 5*, Mini 1*, es nuestra valoración.

El equipo se traba o pausa no responde

En tres ocasiones diversas, ( lo he usado cinco veces) todas en exterior, el equipo se queda en pausa o freez, no responde, el touch de funciones en pantalla no se ejecutan, el botón de apagado tampoco responde se vuelve difícil reiniciar el equipo. Si estamos hablando que en todas las ocasiones son transmisiones en vivo y para lo que cuesta es desesperante. No se si sea igual para las versiones pro. Según vi usa el mismo procesador.
